Established in 2017, the Cheers for Volunteers award recognizes the commitment of community members who share their time and talents with open hands. Volunteerism is often overlooked, yet it’s the heart of this community – protecting us through emergency response and public safety, preserving our natural resources and history, supporting education and the arts, encouraging recreation and tourism. All of this happens without payment, sustained by generosity alone. For this, we want to encourage and salute you.
