Terms and Conditions
  1. Granted funds will be used only for the purpose(s) set forth in this application.
  2. Funding provided by the Three Lakes Community Foundation may not be used to participate or intervene in political campaigns or to support an attempt to influence legislation except to the extent that such activities are permissible under IRS rules for 501(c) (3) charitable organizations.
  3. The Applicant Organization may not, prior to receiving the funds, designate funds yet to be received for the project. The Applicant Organization is to use the funds within the designated project period as referenced in this application. However, exceptions may be allowed based on circumstances. Any requested exception must be submitted in writing and is subject to approval by the Three Lakes Community Foundation. At the completion of the project, the Applicant Organization must submit in writing verification of the use of the funds for the designated Project.
  4. The Three Lakes Community Foundation may request additional terms, conditions or contingencies in a signed agreement before releasing grant funds.
  5. Once the Applicant Organization receives funds from the Three lakes Community Foundation, the project named and described in this Application and the terms and conditions of this agreement are subject to modification only with the Three Lakes Community Foundation's prior written approval.
  6. The Applicant Organization can request a list of the names and emails of those who donated/ contributed funds received as a result of this application.
  7. The Three Lakes Community Foundation will send a thank you note to donor within 30 days of receipt of donation. This note will include Applicant Organization, campaign information and the required IRS advisement for legal purposes.
  8. The Three Lakes Community Foundation will fulfill the reporting obligations to the IRS regarding the funds provided to the Applicant Organization from The Three Lakes Community Foundation's campaign.
  9. The Three Lakes Community Foundation will report money raised as donor-designated funds for legal reporting purposes.

In our grant programs, the Three Lakes Community Foundation will not knowingly support organizations whose programs or services are not open to all without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, age, medical condition, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by law. We recognize that Applicant Organizations may identify special needs in the community and target programs or services to a specific population based on those needs. These programs must be open to all people in those targeted programs and specific populations to be eligible for grant consideration.
